Overlap Wallpaper

The Microsoft-developed Windows operating system allows you to use any image you want as the desktop background or wallpaper. The Anand K Gupta-developed application Overlap Wallpaper allows you to put any image you want on top of the aforementioned desktop background. You can have a photo of your spouse, partner, parents, children, or anything else you want overlapped on the desktop wallpaper.

Overlap Wallpaper does not have to be installed on your Windows-powered machine. To get started with the application, you must download a small archive, extract its contents, and then run the Overlap Wallpaper executable. A “Welcome to Overlap Wallpaper” prompt will show up the first time you run the program and inform you that you need to right click the system tray icon and access the Settings menu to select what image the application will display on the screen and to adjust a few other options.

By default, Overlap Wallpaper presents an image of a mug on your desktop. From the Settings menu you can choose another image to be presented on your desktop. From the same menu you can change the photo’s size and the position where said photo will be displayed. From the More Settings menu you can select how often you want the image to be reloaded, if you want the photo to always be displayed on top, and if you want the color to be transparent.

The advantage of using Overlap Wallpaper is that you can have an interesting picture as your desktop background and any other image you want on top of that background.
